Another one done and dusted.

A great weekend with all things good coming together this time – no fatalities,no injuries

(apart from sore heads) and no AWOLs or detainees .

 

A huge thanks and acknowledgment to the following for their contribution in making the weekend possible, enjoyable and successful :-

 

SPONSORSHIP :-     Mr. XXXX, PETER WALTON    –      for the great prize pool for   

                                     games and the contribution of refreshments for the bus trip. Most

                                     gracious of him to do so in view of his inability to attend.

                              :-    Mick Delahunty (KissCars) --      his voluntary contribution of

                                     golf gloves and KissCars golf balls provided a further prize depth.

 

TRANSPORT :-        Mr. Tim Lattey, Coach Captain   --    who consistently provides that

                                    point of difference which makes the trip an integral part of the

                                    weekend, not just transport.

 

ACCOMMODATION :-    I hope everyone was happy with Mantra Legends. The

                                     breakfast (hot this year) provided a good start each day. $80 pp

                                     per day incl breakfast was as good as we could get within that

                                     central location.

 

GOLF  :-                    Club President Lynne Wroe found it challenging to find courses

                                    which would accommodate our group with a good deal. Thanks

                                    Lynne, the Glades and the Pines were great.

             :-                    Club Captain Rob Inskip took care of teams and format and as   

                                    always over viewed  the whole weekend and presented daily prizes

                                    with Lynne.

                          

 

FINANCES :-           Club Treasurer David Mason handled the money side of things with

                                    due diligence even under duress. ( The Pines Maso?)

 

 

Finally a big thanks to the tour members that assisted with  icing and loading of the refreshments each day, loading and unloading luggage and golf clubs,and the clean up job on the bus after golf on day one. Thanks Lynne and Greer for the mop job.

Charles Clancy  --- what a trooper ! -- great to see him roll up for the G.C. Weekend.

Many thanks for the balls -- “thank God for Clancy” was heard on many occassions around the water holes.

 

David (Whitey) White our Sergeant At Arms did his usual thing on the way home and found enough “unusuals” to raise $310 for Charity. Well done mate !.

 

Hopefully all participants (members and visitors) had a great time and look forward to doing it all again next year.
