                               Annual General Meeting

 

                      Horton Park G.C. Sunday Jan. 15th 2012

 

·        Meeting declared open at 2-15 pm. by the President after determining a Quorum present.

·        President welcomed members and thanked for attendance.

         ::          welcomed new members and guests.

         ::          nominated Rob Inskip as Chairman.

  

 

·        Chairman Rob -

     

1.     Thanked members who sold raffle tickets throughout the year with special          mention to the “Raffle Co-ordinator” – Trevor Boyle and assistant Kev Parker.

 

2.     Thanked Sponsors for their support :-

Lyn & Eric Wallace and Troy Allen, Lynne & Garry Wroe and Ty Herberts,

Jason and Greer Lane, Brad Dickson (Lifestyle Windows), Mick Delahunty (Kiss Cars) and Mr.XXXX -Peter Walton and of course Kawana Waters Hotel.

Also noted was the self sponsorship of some months by the Club.

 

               3.  Requested minutes of last AGM to be read out by Secretary.

 

               4.  Motion of acceptance of minutes as read   –   passed  - Lyn & Eric Wallace

 

               5.  Requested Treasurers Report to be read out.

 

               6. Motion of acceptance of Report as read  --    passed  -- Lynne Wroe & Steve Davis

 

               7.  Business arising from last AGM :-

                    a) Annual Gold Coast Trip costs/ Rewards Scheme to be carried over to General       

                        Business after election of new Office Bearers.

 

               8.  Office Bearers :-- Appreciation expressed to the great work of the 2011

                                             Committee which was then dissolved and nominations were called

                                             for the positions.

                    Acceptances for 2012 are : -

 

                    President   :                     Lynne Wroe  -  (and Trip Organizer)

 

                    Club Captain   :               Rob/Jill Inskip – (Handicapper and Sponsor Co-Ord.)

 

                    Secretary   :                     Steve Rado

                     SOA      :                        Whitey & Bob Bury to assist.

 

                    Raffle Co-Ordinator   :    Herb Marshall & Kevie Parker to assist.

 

              9.  Call for General Business discussion.

 

General Business : ----

 

                  a)  Club Championships  -  1st round –   Oct 14th   -   Tewantin- Noosa

                                                           -  2nd round --  Nov 18th  -   Caloundra

 

                  b)  Membership Fees      -   same as last year  and due to be paid on or before Feb.

                                                               19th at Caloundra. ($50)

 

                  c)  Club Subsidy  Increase to members monthly game cost –

                       To improve the benefit of club membership to monthly players, subsidies to

                        increase as shown on Game Dates 2012 Programme.

 

                  d)  Gold Coast Trip Subsidy   -

                       For 2012 the actual cost to the club for G.C.trip is in excess of       $450 pp

                         ::     ::    members cost (with no raffle or S/ship input) set at          $200 pp

                      

                **    All of the above were duly motioned and accepted.

 

                  e)  Rewards Scheme -  -

                       Confirmation with members of terms of Raffle / Sponsorship rewards scheme

                        as per Committee Meeting 12th Sept 2011. Briefly $10 per raffle attendance and

                        $50 per S/Ship to a Max. of $100 off the members cost.

                        To facilitate this, the Raffle Co-ordinator will maintain a list of attendees and

                        S/ship Co-ordinator a list of Sponsors which combined will determine the value

                        of Rewards.

 

 

                  f)  Dalby Trip -    

                      By Vote it was decided this year to make a change from Dalby.  Gympie and Tin

                      Can Bay to be assessed by Lynne Wroe. Info will be provided when at hand.

 

 

       As there was no more Business to discuss the meeting was closed at 3-15pm.
